About Wendy
In the early 90s I had watched Sonya Fitzpatrick, ‘The Pet Psychic’, on Animal planet. I was mesmerized. I always loved the part where the sceptic would suddenly become paranoid about what the family pet was going to share with Sonya on live TV once she communicated a couple of juicy bits that Fido shared that only the sceptic would know.
So, when our 18 year old Dachshund was at that point where we were trying to understand whether we were keeping him alive because WE were not ready and possibly not being his best advocate, I set up an appointment with Sonya. Jaeger let her know that he was not ready yet, because my husband was not ready for him to pass. I told this information to my husband, who at that time did not believe in Animal Communication. “He said he will not let go until you say that it is OK.” I tried to explain. One morning Jaeger’s health rapidly declined and he passed away peacefully in our home. My husband admitted to me that during the night he had told Jaeger it was OK to go and that he no longer needed to suffer. Jaeger was his ‘heart dog’. That was no simple thing for him to do, but the most loving. But it wasn’t until I had to part with my heart dog Baron that my journey to learn how to be an Animal Communicator began. Losing him was both the most tragic and most life changing event. If there is one thing I learned from losing him, is that time spent on grief in the last stages of life is time lost. Time that could have been spent on celebrating life. Enjoying precious last moments and making new lasting memories together.
Pet Psychic, Animal Intuitive, Interspecies Counselor, Animal Communicator. If you Google animal communication you will find so many different titles. Additionally, I have found, through attending many workshops, that many of us work quite differently. Some focus only on a specific area, such as end of life, lost pets, behavior issues, animals that have crossed, etc. Some provide spontaneous Q & A with the animal physically present, some operate from booths at Metaphysics conferences allowing 15 minutes to 1 hour sessions. Some even write up an email about their session that answer just the ‘3’ questions the guardian asks and never actually speak with the humans. Some, like me, connect with animals virtually using a photograph. Afterwards, a call is scheduled for me to share and discuss what I received. No one way is wrong or right. I am grateful for my journey that has unfolded by simply being open and keeping focused on what I believe is my purpose: Become a ‘translator’ for the animals, bridging the communication gap between the animals and the humans that love them and facilitating a deeper connection and understanding.
